Abstract
This brief reflection on the beginnings and growth of education in technology and metallurgy, as well as on the achievements of the professors and researchers of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, marks an important milestone: the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the independent Department of Technology within the Technical Faculty of the University of Belgrade. The official founding document was signed on 16 November 1925, a date celebrated as the birth of today’s Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy University of Belgrade.
